Design for Roger Doyle's 'The Thousand Year Old Boy.'
Roger Doyle is one of the most accomplished composers in Ireland and has been crafting musical magic generations before I was even a mere quiver in my father's loins. Often referred to as the Godfather of Irish Electronica, his twisting counter melodies couple wonder and menace in swathes of waking dreams and almost tangible memories.
In case it wasn't immediately apparent from reading the above, I am a massive fanboi of Mr. Doyle.
We first met in 2009 at Psychonavigation Records' 9th anniversary gig in The Sugar Club, Leeson St. A few months later, Roger asked if I'd be interested in designing poster artwork for his new project, 'The Room In The Tower' which was part of the Absolut Fringe Festival 2010. I ardently accepted and since then have worked on various projects with him, the most recent being 'The Thousand Year Old Boy.'
